I've had a clear out under the stairs  Found DDs clean camping stuff including her wellies from before last summer in a box :o Also loads of material I thought I'd thrown out so will look into using that to recover my dining chairs ;) Found the dehumidifiers and all the painting/DIY supplies I was looking for. Now I just need to work out whether the stuff is still usable after 3+ years :o

DD is home and leaving a trail of destruction behind her. I have a plan for a project to keep her busy this evening if she wants to do it. ;) Homework and tea first!

Having a seat with a cuppy tea now. Still got the oven to clean and the shopping list to do but otherwise on track. Have also put four listings on gummytree of furniture that I don't really want to take to the new house with me.
Some people have a heck of a cheek though, put an ex 1kea coffee table and side table on and got a text within minutes of the listing to ask for a price for just the coffee table. As that's in prefect condition (about ten months old) and the side table is in worse condition I was just really chucking the side table in. Gave her a price to get told 'no thanks it's only x in 1kea'! I replied to advise the cost of fuel to drive from Aberdeen to Glasgow or Edinburgh on top but got told 'no dad is a driver so no fuel cost'. Felt like texting back to say 'whoopydoo for you, stop wasting my time!'
I understand said person would want the lowest price possible but equally I want the best price possible. If my price is higher than they wish to pay then offer a lower one, don't make cheeky comments! GRRRRR

  • That's dinner decluttered. I'm sick of everyone in this house thinking I'm the maid so DD washed up, DS2 dried and I put away. DD did as she was asked no problems. DS2 threw the biggest huffiest strop. So he helped and then was sent to his bed. Apparently he doesn't do manual labour. Cheeky wee so and so. Think I will make a chore list for the house.
Off to put a rocket up OH's rear and get this painting done before its bath time.

He's 7 too so not a little one. Honestly i don't know how he manages to make so much mess.

Runs to catch up with mrs-moneypenny for another HHC.

I think some of then are just mucky beasts. DS2 is 8 and often comes home minging from rolling round the playground at lunchtime. It's DS1 who's the real grot bag though, if he gets anything on his hands he'll wipe it in his trousers  and he's almost 12 and in senior school!

@mazon locker stuff retrieved -- would highly recommend, delivery was faster than free super saver to my home and I'm not rolling the dice as to whether my postie can be bothered to ring the bell.

Presents wrapped -- boys poo-pooed the pants and chose choccies instead. They has thorntons on 1/2 price in Sainsbobs too :money: Nearly cried reading my first "happy birthday Husband" card, flippin' hormones :rotfl:

Dinner made, spag bol, smells great, probably because I am famished. AF here with a vengeance therefore want to eat dinner soon so I can take ibuprofen and not have an acidy tum.

    Is it cider o'clock yet?
