I always thought if they were called "Dodgems" then there is no bumping, hence the name!

When I was a kid, we all called them Bumper Cars - for the exact opposite reason!

then again maybe it was at Bognor? OP visited 21 Aug, we stayed 26-30 Aug.
  • Never been to Bognor Regis, isn't it the butt of all sorts of jokes? :)

It does concern me that the OP saw another child being taken off the ride crying but she still queued with her child to go on it. I'm certain my mum wouldn't have stayed in the queue with me for a ride if she saw that.

Write in to the local paper, make sure they get a picture of you scowling, looking really cross with your arms folded next to the words, "MOTHER'S HORROR: SON BUMPED IN BUMPER CAR."

I really can't believe the mother never took her son to A&E to be checked out-as for the birthday boy remembering "The day my brother nearly died" That is down to how the mother handles it....constant references and a general drama lama approach - and yes she may be able to guilt trip into that - Down to earth sensible attitude in front of the kids ......it won't.

People never cease to amaze me.

I can picture it now! I swear they have stock photos for these stories, the lady is always of the larger persuasion, generally unwashed and needs her roots doing? ;)

(Reminder I need to go to the hairdressers!)
