Please could I get some advice I have with finances due to my benefit stopping?
I have been long term sick for 8 years claiming incapacity benefit which recently changed to contributions based ESA.
The contributions have run out and my benefit is stopping 26th November 2013. Due to my partner working full time and being paid £280 a week I am unable to claim any other benefit even housing benefit.
Despite the fact I strongly disagree with the fact they think I can return to work I have been offered a part time job with a family member but I will only be receiving £95 a week which is nothing in comparison to the 500 a month benefit im loosing.
Im petrified what is going to happen in respects of me affording my rent and bills monthly.
Will I be able to qualify for housing benefit? (even though up til now we have not been eligible).
Will I be able to get help from any other avenue?
Someone please help me this is making me ill and proving that the mental health conditions I have stopping me from working for so long have not been "cured" as the DWP said.

How many in the household, is it just you and your partner. How much is your rent - are you private renting or in social housing and how many bedrooms in the property.
If private rented what is your Local Housing Allowance figure? These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0 -

This isn't as big a shortfall as it initially sounds. £95 a week at an average 4.3 weeks a month is £408.50, so you're losing less than £100 a month. Could you cut down on outgoings to make up the shortfall? The Debt-Free Wannabe board might be able to advise you on cutting back.0 -
The DWP are not saying you are cured of whatever ails you. You have had your 365 days ESA in WRAG group and because of your partner's income you are not entitled to any more money. You would however get NI credits.
If you had been in the support group of ESA your payments would have continued. Perhaps you could model your financial situation on the benefit checker on this site. That will give you some idea of whether you will be able to claim housing or council tax benefit or even working tax credit on your partners income.
You could also use https://www.turn2us.org.uk for a benefit check.0 -
