No, its in between Aberdeen and Stonehaven. x0 -
Hang on a minute, why should it be £60 per parent - what has the number of parents got to do with it? Per child, annoying but consistent, per day, expensive - but per parent?
So a single parent family pays £60 fine, a child with two parents and it is £120? If a child has two parents who are separated and remarried, does that mean 4x£60 or are step parents not included ...

PS - Don't know why I am getting cross as not planning on taking holiday in term time, but it is the principle!
The thinking behind it is that both (resident) parents have a joint responsibility to ensure that their child attends school. Non resident parents or parents without parental responsibility wouldn't be fined.
This isn't my opinion, I just happened to read the green paper on the changes to this legislation and the reasoning behind it was in there.0 -
Thanks squills

I may even pop to Mr Ts before I settle down for what I feel may be, or not, a long night as I think I may be needing some iced coffees

Evening everyone.
Hope you are all ok.
Been missing for a day and a bit as I've been up to my eyeballs in paint. The front room is finished now though and looks ruddy marvellousI went to b&q expecting to purchase something neutral and came home with a mustard yellow.
it's only gone on one wall whilst the rest has been done a magnolia with a hint of nutmeg. Sound rank but looks fab :j I'm really happy with it but obviously I now need to purchase new cushions and a new lightshade etc. the hubby is less an impressed as I only brought new cushions a month ago. :rotfl:
