  • Brilliant! £5 off any book or e-book
I've just bought the latest Peter James e-book - one of my favourite authors and the e-book is £7.12 so with the £5 cashback, not a bad price at all. I will save this for when I go on hols in a few weeks.

I thought that they gave you the difference + 10%

    DS2 Homework time here.

We are redoing a personal timeline that he did in history. Apparently 'nothing significant has happened in my life since 2006' wasn't quite what they were looking for :D

I may be some time

He's absolutely correct though! What possible problem can they have with that (just that it wasn't in conformity with their expectations):rotfl:? Nothing "significant" may have happened - lots of things, fairly insignificant, happen each day - that might have built up to something more.

But that wasn't (I presume) what they asked.

I bet nothing significant's happened since I was born! (Especially not on their wording of their own question:rotfl::p) (:p to them not you!)

And not only on a personal level but when you compare it to great periods of history - the Great Fire of London, the Industrial Revolution, the Great Exhibition, World Wars I and II - nothing significant has happened in the last 7 years. Choosing of the next X-factor or Big Brother winner certainly doesn't qualify in my book either!:p:D:rotfl::rotfl:
  • looks like its good news then - nothing has changed (and I've learnt the rules a bit better - I could have sworn they gave 10 percent extra but maybe ive never read the rules properly before - and ive been a little annoyed about the non-existent 'change' all afternoon

Just popped to mr T. Really skint after the weekend. Down to about £1.00 in my bank account but luckily I had a £10.00 PP to use for shopping. On the way out of shop saw a receipt and another piece of paper on the ground. It was a £6.02 PP!!
As my daughter said last week when I said i was really short of money this month " oh Mum something always turns up".

Why would you throw away £6.00?
