I think this is another of those false alarms though. It can't be the case when A are promoting they don't match prices but beat them. Is this one of those occasional (mis)interpretations of what A's APG strap says? "10% cheaper or give you the difference". The "difference" doesn't mean the difference in price to the competitor, it means the difference to the 10% cheaper than the competitor. I can understand a little how it might be taken to mean the mere difference in price - it's a complex message to get across (esp. to the general public i.e. the general public that includes those who are daft enough to buy £2.09 small packs of cornflakes that aren't sold elsewhere:rotfl:).

I logged mine around 2pm - bomb pots and SG from yesterday - defo not 10% (but not exactly the difference either (by a few pence) so quite perplexing

Bombay Pots won't be 10%. They'll be (should be) a lot more!!:rotfl::rotfl::D

I still remain convinced the "10% cheaper" is still valid (on the non-glitchy comparable stuff). Fraid I'll need to see the comparison result you got in order to be convinced otherwise!

What were you expecting?

Shop in Asda = £10
Same Shop in Tesco = £9

If we are not 10% cheaper ( £9- 10%) = £8.10
You'll get the difference = £1.90 (£10- £8.10)

That's what it has always been. It's not 10% off what you spend in Asda.

they are promising to refund the difference, so it matches competitor price - 10% eg if competitors price is £20 asda with match £18
