scamps hope you feel better soon, I didn't see your picture, though I'm glad as I'm pretty squeamish (though I wouldn't have reported it, I'm sure)

Don't get me started on doorstep chuggers (charity muggers for the uninitiated)

We had Cancer Research favours at our wedding in memory of family members including FIL, Mum, Auntie, Granddad. Within months we'd received several letters asking for more donations, followed by chuggers on my doorstep who I foolishly let into my house. It was so difficult to get them to leave. Initially they asked for my details to put on their mailing list, I had no problem with that as I was on there anyway, until I noticed that they were filling in a direct debit form! Then they asked for my bank details, saying IIRC "it's okay, you don't have to sign it, we'll send it to HO and they'll contact you for permission". Yeah, right! Eventually got them to leave, politely, though I was so close to calling the Police to remove them.

Macmillan charity fundraiser (a man) knocked on my door a few weeks later, when I told him sorry, no, he said "don't you know how cancer affects families", sent him away with a flea in his ear. He shouted through the door at me. I emailed Macmillan complaining and never received a reply.

We signed up at Asda to donate £9/month for Guide Dogs for the Blind, dd2 pays half out of her pocket money. Went into Asda afterwards and a guy was fundraising for CLIC. I explained that we already donate to Guide Dogs, and couldn't afford any other donations at the moment, his response, "but this is for children with cancer!", in the middle of Asda, fgs.

And charities wonder why people don't donate any more, it's not just down to less money to spare in my opinion.

    Sorry for the rant...

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Good evening Elite :hello:
Having a catch up as I've been busy all day, still no shopping for me so that's 3 days away from supermarkets :j
Still trying to sort my 'goodies' and have decided to use the small

spare bedroom, after DH has redecorated :D My guests had to

change their plans and are coming next week so they will sleep in the spare double room, minus my shampoos, niveas et al ;)

Scamps I've just read about your trip, (down the stairs that is and not boot sale ) I do hope you are ok :A I didn't see the pic but 22 stitches omg  and all for a cuppa. The ankle you broke is it your bad leg (cellulitis) You will have to take extra care. My DH had that on his foot and it is not nice at all.

Going to open a nice bottle of red and settle down to read the previous 7 or 8 pages so may not see you until tomorrow x
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Yes it's Spam. Any emails I get from Amazon address me by name.

If you hover your mouse over the link they want you to click you should be able to see where they will send you (in FF it's at the bottom left of the screen). It's unlikely to be amazon.co.uk

    It's only a game
