    Afternoon all

I've been mainly lurkering today as in a bit of a funny mood :o Probably post holiday blues not helping. Think I need to plan another so I have something to look forward to ;)

Drs appointment first thing. No one to about to have boys (Mum in Cyprus, MIL and sis working and my neighbour has moved half hour away :() so had to drag them along. Saw GP who originally got me diagnosed but who I haven't seen since. Bought back lots of memories and had to relay again what's happened the last 10 months (can't believe it's been that long!) Got another sick note til end of October but he said he still didn't expect me to be fit for work then....

Had to go straight to work then as old sick note ran out today. Saw lots of my colleagues who were lovely and made me cry. Lots of hugs :) Made me realise how much I miss being part of a team and how isolated I am really. Thank goodness I have you all :A

Boys have been a bit clingy this morning, think it's because they've seen me upset so much. Thankfully DS2 just gone down for a nap and DS1 now playing happily with his cars.

I've been in a funny mood today and I have no excuse - perhaps its funny mood day :o

I am peed off with being part of a ruddy team in work, I've taken on extra resposibilities this year but some people just can't be part of a team and won't play fair. sometimes I wish I worked with all men, much less b!tching and moaning :p

Keep your chin up hun, you are a great mum, so much more important work rubbish ;)

Westie how can you have itchy feet as you seem to go on holiday every few months:T:T:cool:

When you've travelled for long periods of time, different places, new experiences, cultures etc when you get back home it's so hard to adjust back to normal life that just gets harder and harder every time. I enjoy the flights just as much as the destination. The 'I always want to see, do something new, different' is never going to leave me and i'm lucky enough to have travelled where I have, I just want to keep leaving my footprints all over the globe when I see something that inspires :D The Croatia trip was booked relatively quickly after seeing a pic.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

The S&G went up in price when the new size cans came out ...if that helps :D
  • Last week I did a c&c wine order, after discounts it came to £24.95.

They substituted 4 chardonnay for 4 red which I declined and was told I would be refunded in 3 days.

Been refunded today £33.70, so they paid me £8.75 to take 8 bottles of the markview chardonnay :D

Aau how are you doing with all your JC codes?

I'm halfway through them now :j

Although talking with DW about what we'll do with the ipod when we get it and we are now in two minds. Neither of us need one so we were going to give it as an xmas gift. The problem is who to give it to as the only people we can think to give it to might feel obliged to spend the same next year or we'll make an expensive precedent blah blah blah.

I thought about ebaying the ipod but it would prob bring in £50 after fees when I could just use the same number of points for £50/60 M&S vouchers and less hassle. I am starting to think I might do that

The annoying thing is I could have set up 2 accounts and been finished inputting all the codes by now

I worked in a large office a few years back. The kitchen and fridge were shared by about 40 people. We had a phantom sandwich muncher  sounds funny now but it was :mad:at the time. This person would go through everyone's sandwich boxes etc in the fridge and take 1 bite out of things and then put the stuff back......obviously either thought it was funny or had a serious problem :cool:

How desperate would you have to be to nick someone's food? You'll have to make your DH an extra large dinner!

Wonder if it was the same guy my mum worked with years ago in the chocolate factory, used to bite the heads off the choc soldiers and leave them on the conveyor belt.

I would have thought so, but apparently they are bad to sell to instore, they sometimes ask you to come back at the end of the day when they dont have enough money in the till. Only benefit to doing it online, is that you can book your sale now, before the price drops when they get flooded tomorrow.

I take it you post it to them:)
