Hand-held scanners tell you if there is an offer on the things you are buying :D

I so want one of those in one of my stores

Anyone in the Teesside area - Sada at Thornabronx do not sell the twin packs of these brushes - the Sales Assistant was v helpful but none to be found!

A house divided against itself cannot stand - I love this proverb, and thanks to my lovely family for making me realise that we can get through most things together ;)

If you are anything like me with them, scanning everything I see that might be 1p :D you will get checked when you go to check out, so don't panic, they just go through random things and scan them then you carry on. They are a pain in the **** for coupons though, rather like the self-scanners. Enjoy :D

    I have a plan. :D
Gonna take O/H with me and I will scan and cancel, he can scan and buy. ;)

You will need two Tesco club cards to do this one for each scanner ;)

Can I just ask a quickie.

Has anyone used Agoda before for hotel bookings. Just haven't heard of them and they are coming up with some really cheap prices on a deal I am looking at.

Nictrinwyn. Congrats on passing your driving test:j

Going to spend a nice day checking out wood burning stoves and the cost of logs.

    Nice project before winter.

Also, our neighbour has planning for a 15m wind turbine. A company are paying for the planning costs and installation. He gets free electricity and they sell the surplus to the grid. We are keeping an eye on his progress and may follow if he gets approval.

Unfortunately he has had a few objections including one from the parish council :o

We are looking seriously at the cost of our energy before it becomes unsustainable. Saving pennies on the shopping is getting lost in the big black NPower hole:o The main saving we think we can make is cutting out baths and substituting them with showers. Not totally of course but enough to make a difference:o

Check out this thread, we supplement our hardwood, softwood combo with briquettes - good if you are short on space, or if the wood is not seasoned well or wet.
