Hi did you get anywhere with Cogent?
Been involved in a RTA myself and just started proceedings with them but would be good to hear your experiences?

I would say, use them. Very professional and courteous. And any award is 100% yours.

Well 10 months after accident I am still going through the process however I have been kept up to date with proceedings and have had regular contact. Had my second doctor referral yesterday and he suspects a knee op will have to be done. Fantastic eh?

Cogent have been very good so cannot fault them.

I was in a RTA as a passenger (named driver) it wasnt our fault, other driver admitted liabilty.
    I am still having treatment!

    As for Cogent LAW......KEEP AWAY!!!

I have to SUE FOR NEGILENCE!!!

They LIED TO THE COURTS, DELETE FILES !!! I knew nothing. They never kept me updated!!. I wrote to them several times a year, everytim I had treatment etc, and asked for updates - NO REPLIES. I made complaints to them - NO REPLIES. In the end I complained several times to OMBUDSMAN!! eventually got a reply.....no not truth!!

Was told a questionnaire was not submitted, Then went to COURT and FOUND OUT THE TRUTH!!!!!

SO NO COMP Judge tells me to sue for Negilience and Comp.

They should'nt be able to delete files as measure are in place - but they were! - NOT just MINE - BUT other clients too!!!

You seem to have incredibly bad luck with various insurers and claims processes...

Everyone's circumstances are different. Good luck OP, hope you make a good and lasting recovery. x

By case supervisor you presumably mean the case handler (aka fee earner)?

Not sure what you mean by "been 7 months here"? Are you saying they are an immigrant?

Not everyone who works in the legal profession is a solicitor with 30 years experience, and nor do they need to be. Like every job in the world there are those who are starting out and there are those who have decades of experience.

Like most professions the junior staff do the grunt work with oversight from the more experienced professionals and the top guys only get their hands dirty with the most complicated/ high profile cases.

Did you really think that a £1,000 claim for whiplash from an RTA where the TP admitted liability would have the same grade of case handler as a £3,500,000 case with disputed liability across a number of different parties?

My case was transferred to a senior case handler and has now been settled and I am now waiting on my cheque for a touch over £6k
