Just a quick update - spoke to the dealer and they apologised for not making clear we would be the 3rd owner.
They've given us a photocopy of the previous V5s - the two previous keepers are two different branches of the dealership so that would help with selling on.0 -

So the dealership must be running branches as standalone companies which ringfences things if a branch gets in to difficulties.0
