  • Well done for deciding to do something about your situation. Be brave and make those cutbacks!
  • Thanks Sian!

Spent more of the groceries budget tonight, popped to Asda after meeting OH off the train and got a few 2 for £4 pizzas, deciding to have 'takeaway' night tonight instead of tomorrow.

After making those batches of fudge I just couldn't be bothered to start doing proper cooking. Intended to have venison meatballs with pasta but will be doing that tomorrow now instead.

Hey Hun. Good luck at the bake sale today. Hope you raise loads of lovely pennies. Xxx
  • Well I've just woke up after a lazy unproductive Saturday. Finished work at 10 and helped out at the Think Pink stall until 11. Came home, was awake for about an hour, then dropped off for around 5. Pretty annoyed at that.

Regarding the stall itself it wasn't the cake / fudge stall until tomorrow, it was tombola and games and things. So I guess we'll see tomorrow how it goes down! I did take quite a bit in this morning though in another container for the colleagues to enjoy and it went very quickly! So that's always a good sign :) those recipes set a lot better than the older one I was using as well, and didn't go TOO soft after being left out! Definitely something I'm going to make for people's gift bags for Christmas :)

Because it's been such a non eventful day, so far it's been an NSD. Which is good, but I still can't shake the annoyance that I wanted to do things today, as tomorrow I'm working 7 - 5 and can't really do anything after that with the OH.

We'll see if it did turn out to be an NSD later on!

  • Well just finished got back from a very very long day at work and turns out today has been an NSD too. So that's number 7. Have transferred £10 to the Overdraft fund.

Has been nice not to spend but I don't feel like I've achieved anything either. It's been a pretty boring crap weekend, and only worked half a day yesterday so feel like I could have done so much more with it.

In a bit of a brain slump at the moment, bit down and don't know why. Maybe tomorrow will be the start of a good week.

  • You should be proud of yourself! You've debt busted, fundraised for breast cancer & relaxed - all worthwhile & important ways to spend your time.

I want to know how the fudge went down! I'm on the edge of my seat!

  • Thanks SS, and thats true, three good things that have come from the weekend.

The fudge went down really well! Not much of it sold at the bake sale as there were no little signs or anything saying what it was, and it was very quiet, which is a shame.

All my colleagues and friends at work were diving on it though! Some of them couldn't believe I made it, which was quite amusing considering how easy it was! I followed the white chocolate and cherry fudge exactly except I added sweetened dried cranberries and some pink food colouring. Might make some as a weekly treat for the staff :)

  • Yay!

I am baking for a Macmillan Coffee morning this week, so you are giving me inspiration! Just a shame I'm on a strict diet!

And how many episodes of GBBO have you watched now? I am to blame for your new addiction! There's 3 previous series to download!
