Sorry the fudge didn't sell too well but at least you know it was delicious if all your collegues were diving in on it!!
Well done on your NSDs, so close to your target!
I know what you mean about the slump thing. I think it's in part due to the weather change and the sort of waiting for the next pay day effect of debt busting. It's all exciting around pay day when you can allocate funds here and there and add up totals etc, but the times in between are just a waiting game where not a lot changes.
Keep your chin up hun, you're doing so well and are a real inspiration!!0 -
Well feeling a little better today and considering I did a bit of overtime and had a very very long shift, the extra pay will come in handy
9 of my trading card auctions on ebay have bids so far that come to around £55! Loads still don't have any bids but there are a few days left until the earliest ones end so fingers crossed! I'd be very happy with anything over £100 as this is 5% towards my overdraft straight away!
I took the leftover fudge in today for the staff to enjoy before we opened and the boss of the canteen begged me for the recipe! She said if I got permission from one of the higher managers she'd sell it in the canteen for me. And another two staff who hadn't tried it before asked if i took orders for it! I don't have any health and safety certificates or anything though so I'm not sure anything could come of it, but it made me feel awesome that they asked!
Happy to report my 8th NSD and hit my target today, so with 7 days left of September, I'm going to try and get another 3 NSDs! Have transferred £10 into both overdraft and argos accounts to celebrate
I've watched the first 5 episodes now SS, and now you've told me I can download 3 series of it I'm off to do that! There's something I'd absolutely love to try baking but scared of it going horrendously wrong as I don't want to waste the money on the ingredients for it to go to waste! Take a look at the following red velvet cheesecake recipe :P they do giant slices of it at my local pub/restaurant and it just feels like a mouth orgasm when you eat it.

Thanks for the encouragement you guys constantly giveit's so appreciated x

Well can only find it for download on iTunes and it costs £14 for Series 3. Guess I'll be missing out as not paying that for it! Maybe it'll appear on iPlayer at some pointLloyds TSB Overdraft - £220.73 / £2000 - 11%

Had work 12 - 5 today, and boy did I get some bargains!! As well as a few goody purchases off bakery when they were marking down (muffins, treacle tarts, the like) I saw they were bringing all the new christmas related items to the home baking aisle.
In the warehouse, they had marked down tonnes of cake making things ridiculously low, so I grabbed a box and pretty much filled it! Lots of good quality things like the tubes of Dr Oetker chocolate beans and honeycomb pieces for like 10p each! Even got a flapjack kit and a chocolate cornflake kit for 35p each!
Have wanted a cake stand for a while too, but wouldn't pay more than a few quid for one and all the ones I actually quite liked the look of, were around £3 or more! Well I saw a gorgeous one that was only £1 marked down!
I'm fairly confident I have the majority of things I'll need (other than some of the basic ingredients) to make most of the homemade treats for everyone's christmas gift bags this year. And the total cost? £6.23, which saved me over £26!! 10% extra off this because of staff discount and it comes to £5.60! Which is pretty amazing. I'm really made up!
So today hasn't been an NSD, and it has broken my streak, but it's been a brilliant day nonetheless! Have rounded my bank balance down and put £3.36 into the Argos fundLloyds TSB Overdraft - £220.73 / £2000 - 11%

Wow! I'm sooooooo jealous of your cakey treat bargains! I've wanted a cake stand for ages too but just can't justify the cost. Hubby thought I was nuts a few weeks ago because I needed some new storage tins but the nice ones are always like £5 each, Tesco had a load of ones decorated with the Queens Guard reduced to £1 for 2. I bought 4 sets so 8 in total!!!!! He must have thought I was mad!
You're so close to 50% on the Argos card now!0 -
Those storage tins sound lovely wegle! Don't blame you for stocking up :P
I've had a bit of a naughty spend day today, went bowling after I finished work with 7 work friends! Had a brilliant time but same and a girl off markdowns weren't driving we thought we'd get a bit merry, and had 2 pitchers of Purple Rain.....each. Not good considering it was before 4 o clock in the afternoon! The pitchers were £9 each so spent £18 on alcahol alone. The bowling itself was 5 games for £5 though so this wasn't too bad at allit is so rare I go out socially that I'm really not too bothered by today, if going bowling became a regular thing though I'd miss out the cocktails
Have put £2.80 in the sealed pot savings and rounded my bank down putting £6.35 into the Argos fund, pushing it over that 50%!
Going to be trying very hard to get two NSDs over the next few days as not in work! Although I do need a new ipad case as this one is pretty much falling apart. Rather than spend out of my bank though there are some decent ones for a few quid on ebay and after a few sales I have a nice bit in Paypal so may order this tonight.
Talking of ebay, the sales are going well so far!! Have £21.11 in paypal right now, and more sales inbound over the next few days! Really happy with it so farLloyds TSB Overdraft - £220.73 / £2000 - 11%

Over 50% on Argos!! Woo hoo!!! :j:j:j
Those pitchers sound awesome and I don't think any of us can blame you for enjoying them! And lets face it £23 for a great night's entertainment is hardly blowing the budget. We all deserve a night off every now and again.0 -
They were very good yes wegle, only me and the other girl drinking though out of 8 of us so I was there screeching like a witch at some things that weren't even remotely funny and the others were laughing pretty much at me laughing. Was a brilliant day though!
Intended to have a NSD today, and failed.
Spent a bit on groceries, grabbing a few things from the Aldi special buy that I doubt would be on the shelf long, like an amazing balsamic glaze for £1.50 that I've been dunking crusty baguette into the past few nights. And around 300g of chicken goujons from the fridges for only 99p! Works out at less than £4 per kg and there's no bones or anything! Got 3 packs
The degu's needed more food as well so popped into Pets at Home and also got some half price treats for the teeny hamsters too
Best bargain I've found today though had to be a Temple Run card game from Home Bargains, was £12.99 RRP but they're selling it for £2.99!!! Got one to put in OH's sisters gift bag for Christmas
Also making dark chocolate fudge again today, but substituting 300g of dark chocolate for 340g of After Eight mints! (£1 for a 170g box from Home Bargains, cheapest I've seen at the moment).
If it turns out well that'll be one of the flavours I make for Christmas!
Also one thing I've learned today: the Scotch Eggs from Aldi are dry and terrible compared to the ones from Asda on the deli counter, which only work out at 3p dearer (based on 62p per 2 from Aldi, and £1 for 3 from Asda). That extra 3p is well worth the price for the better taste. Although the Aldi ones are slightly larger. Food for thought
eBay is going so well too right now! Lots of auctions finishing tonight, and one of the auctions for 3 cards currently stands at £20!!! That's 1% of my overdraft right there!
Rounded my bank down and put £5.82 into the Argos fund, and also put £3 into the money tin!Lloyds TSB Overdraft - £220.73 / £2000 - 11%
