Good luck with Nando's. If they can't/won't help you, check the signs to see if they give the name and contact details for the landowner and/or ask Nando's for that information. Otherwise, try google.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

i rang nando's yesterday to which they said they cant take any responsibility as the car park is private land.
ill go in tomorrow after work and see if i can get somewhere as being in person is alway better than being on the phone.
Thanks for your help. ill let you guys know once I've heard from excel
Point out to the Nando manager if he won't help that when Nando claim to know everything about chicken, that you assumed it was their menu they were talking about and not their management.0 -
i live near the peel centre,i checked the signage recently and it has been changed,it is now, sadly, perfectly clear,i can even read it without my specs, however as i wrote in my post a few weeks back,,if ur local to the peel centre u will firmly believe that you can park in there for free in the evenings, because it always was free, excel have moved the goal posts without telling anyone/making it clear, that is why folk continue to get fleeced,i did stop off at the scum known as excels office, the young lad was as interested in this fact as the man in the moon that the signs even though clear did not make a mention of this, good luck in your appeal.0

yeah, i live near the peel center too. just like 10 mins away which was why i got caught out
didn't realise rules had changed. didn't even know there was cameras now. not really one for going down to stockport. wish i didn't now -.-
ANYWAYS whats done is done so i went to nandos. that failed.
got the manager to come down and he was saying its a private company and nothing to do with nandos. they cant hold any responsibility and they have so many people coming in a day that they cant just give 1 person the special treatment -.-
took some pictures of some signs. as you drive in it doesn't say how long the pay and display requirements are for. its only till you walk over to the pay and display machine they have pasted over a sticker saying 24 hours
maybe i can put this in my POPLA. been doing some research. feeling positive and negative at the same time. hopefully we can win this one but i gotta say the signs are clear apart from the colours are yellow and blue. they can be a bit hard to see in the dark. plus the pay and display machine nearest to me isn't under any kind of lighting.
excel still haven't got back to me but I'm sure it will take a while -.- just sit and play a waiting game and do more research.0 -
Well, let's suppose for a minute you are guilty as charged M'lud.
Please go to the POPLA Decisions sticky and read ONLY the last 2 pages.
How many were equally "guilty"?
How many appeals were won?
So are you feeling more confident that, with our help, you can win and cost them £27?
I sincerely hope so.0 -
tbh i'd quite like to cost them £27. the amount of people that have been caught is ridiculous. read a watchdogs article the other day stating they have given out 11,500 tickets in the past 3 years while the stockport council parking in the town centre has given 3000 in the past 3 years.

You can feel positive about POPLA because we can help you win.
But the way to win re a complaint at the Peel Centre is not to appeal to Nandos but to complain to the Peel Centre Management (top person, the MD):

Look at all those people who have successfully complained about fake PCNs just like yours. One of whom did so at the Peel Centre recently, as you can see.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That and saying 'it's not a genuine pre-estimate of loss' are the two highest winning appeal points that we always see win at POPLA right now.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
