My plane made an emergency landing then we were stuck in Athens for 68hrs-advice pls

We were flying from Amsterdam to Nairobi with Kenya Airways and halfway into the flight the pilot said smoke was detected in the cargo hold and we were landing in Athens.
It was a faulty sensor in the cockpit thus no fire.We were then stuck in Athens for almost 3 days as the pilot damaged the landing gear when landing in Athens.
We left 68 hours later and our luggage followed us two days after that !!
As we were flying to Nairobi on the original plane,the Greek aviation authority would not allow the luggage back on that plane hence the further delay.
We have written twice to Kenya Airways and they state extraordinary circumstances....get lost basically.
I have no issue with the emergency landing but I have an issue with the time it took to get us going again and the fact we were without our hold baggage for the 68hours in Athens then had to wait another 48hrs once we got to Kenya to be reunited with it.
Is this worth pursuing on the basis of the two rejections so far ?
