TV Destroyed By Parcelforce :(

Hello Everyone!
Not sure if this is in the right forum but here goes:
Sold my old tv on ebay (samsung flat screen) everything with the buyer was fine and used parcelforce to delivery it.
It arrived at the buyers house with two holes in the box and the screen chipped and smashed. Buyer refunded and now im stuck with a broken tv and trying to put a claim through with parcelforce. I didnt insure it but friends have sold tvs before with no trouble with parcelforce and never damaged to this extent.
Any advice for this situation, i know i have limited options and i should have insured it, but surely i can claim something because of the ridiculous amount of damage to the item and the box?
Thank you!

So how was it packaged?0 -

It was in its original packaging, (which it was originally delivered in with no damage) Foam blocks, big box with samsung tv all over it, and i labelled it "Front"
I know that tvs are excluded, i was just wondering about trying to claim because of the way in which it was damaged, it wasnt like it was wrapped up in a plastic bag and was bumped and it cracked, its clearly been hit by something very heavy, or mishandled by someone at parcelforce.
I know that insurance is always a good idea, but from past experiences with friends etc, i didnt feel the need to get it (plus ££££)0 -

What part of tvs aren't covered aren't you understanding? You tried to do it on the cheap and it didn't work out. Learn a lesson and move on.0 -
The only thing you may like to check is that the buyer hasn't kept your TV and sent back an identical one broken and made a hole in your box.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. so you sent something that they tell you they wont allow to be sent, and it was damaged, and want to claim, well i think its tough luck, even if you took out insurance i think this would have been null and void as you sent an excluded item and knew you did this, therefore taking the full risk.0 -

Its excluded from compensation, its not excluded from being sent.0
