Noddle credit rating

Err . . I wrote the followingWhy should this be the case?It seems odd that your "rating" has dropped for no apparent reason and should be investigated. Applications for credit/loans or cards can have this effect for a while but if you have not applied for anything recently then you ought to consider the possibility that someone is using your identity to apply for credit.
Have you got a point to make?

That's what I've been doing for a year. I have no debt and pay my credit cards off in full each month. The £44 was this months bill as such.0 -

Yes, I've just advised that Noddle 'credit ratings' (which are meaningless) change without reasons. So why should you investigate a change in a meaningless figure? People just need to continue to look at the data, not the pointless ratings.
Also to add - there are no searches recorded on my Noddle account for any of the four financial products I've applied for this year, so how would I know if people have been applying unsuccessfully for credit in my name?0 -
In that case I wouldn't worry too much about a 20 point drop; it's out of 999 or something, isn't it?Cherryfaze wrote: »That's what I've been doing for a year. I have no debt and pay my credit cards off in full each month. The £44 was this months bill as such.
Noddle gives me a score out of 5 - that's accurate enough for me.

Just because you say so doesn't make it necessarily so.Yes, I've just advised that Noddle 'credit ratings' (which are meaningless) change without reasons. So why should you investigate a change in a meaningless figure? People just need to continue to look at the data, not the pointless ratings.
I suggested investigating it - not necessarily using Noddle. Also to add - there are no searches recorded on my Noddle account for any of the four financial products I've applied for this year, so how would I know if people have been applying unsuccessfully for credit in my name?
I merely take the view that unexpected changes on credit reports should be investigated. You clearly have a more cavalier attitude. That, of course, is your prerogative but I wouldn't recommend it to others.

According to Noddle having too many current accounts presents the owner as a credit risk.

Find their explanation very hard to believe I have 9 current accounts and overdraft facilities of £15,000 available (but not used) and my score has never changed from 5/5.0 -

TheSeptember noddle newsletter did have an intriguing point in that Facebook / Twitter /Social media associates and online habits could be taken into consideration in credit scoring by the end of the year. Noddle also invite you to comment on facebook or twitter.
Will we have to trawl social media to root out unsuitable acquaintances and check for those with similar names / aliases that could be harming our credit chances ?

I saw that.
That kind of discrimination would be staggeringly stupid. I actually checked it wasn't 1st April when I read it!
What the hell have my friends go to do with my own creditworthiness? I don't pick friends based on how good they are with their finances. What will your verse be?

My attitude isn't cavalier at all. I check the data and don't care about the score. Everyone should be checking the data on their report but without obsessing over changes to these worthless scores.0 -

I calculate my own scores which is a lot more accurate.
Do I work YES
Do I pay my bills on time YES
Do I have a long history of paying back debt YES
Have I lived at my address long YES
Do I ever get turned down for credit NO
Do I pay £14.99 for a score when I've just done it myself NO
My score is 1000 points.

In mitigation for my decreased Noddle score I did order a DVD Box set of a TV show that was only three fifths shown on UK TV.
I am resigned to the fact that the noddle score is meaningless and they may possibly hold inaccurate details upon you, unless you can be bothered to attempt to correct them.
