Best deal for international calls...

Hello everybody!

Nice to be here first of all and greetz to all!

Ive decided to post that as I got a bit confused and I am counting on Your help.

I currently have a o2 PAG mobile and was usually topping up ~10 pounds a month to keep my 300 free txt msgs allowance.

Ive moved out recently so I dont have the landline anymore and cant use it to call abroad (Poland). Im left out with calling from my mobile so I decided to get myself a contract one to use free minutes to call there.
Recently I found out that even Orange has stopped doing that so I wont be able to use my minutes to do it ;(

So. Iam looking for a best deal of max 500 free minutes (at least 300) + 200 txts (maybe 300) with a nice new phone. Hopefully U600 or some very good yet small Nokia.

I would like to spend max 30 pounds a month but I can stretch that if the offer gives cashback.
I found couple of good deals but I cant make my mind.

Ive got couple of questions then.
What network I should stick to to be able to call withing my minutes allowance to Poland? How to do it??

Are the online retailers trustworthy?? What about cashback??

BTW. Ive got Quidco so it could get me money this way as well.

Any suggestions??

Please HELP!

THANKS!!!

    welcome,

pretty sure that there are no fixed contracts that still allow international calls from included minutes,

one option would be a specialty SIM like mobileworld or such like, for instance mobile world costs 7p to a land line and 20p for a mobile

Not a very good news than. I had a number that costs 0.5 p a min for landlines from the mobile, but from the mobile it goes up to something like 20p or more a minute :/
A guy in Vodafone advised me to get the card for international calls and then just use the number from the back that will start with ie 020 or sthing like that and than it will be charging as for the normal call so free minutes will apply to that as well.

If you'd be happy to stay on pay-as-you-go, you might get T-mobile and look at Yourcallworld. Using their newer 07755 callthrough numbers set up in agreement with T-mobile, you'd be able to call Polish and many other countries' landlines for 3 pence a minute; Poland mobiles 10p/minute

Unless you got a contract cashback deal for close to 100% of line rental, your inclusive minutes would work out to a few pence each anyway

And for cheaper sms, see this thread and some similar ones about using wap/grps data to send an equivalent; I'd suggest Vyke

I dont mind staying yet at the moment contract would suit me better I think. And also it seems like I could find a deal that would cost less then my monthly top up cost yet with better deal/benefits.

So if I still would like to get contract what should I do to get as cheap as possible/free call to Poland??

Oh! And btw Ive just remindem myself (i know its late ;) ). When I first entered the MSE.com site about calling cheap abroad from mobile there was more info and some numbers to call for free, after 5 minutes, Ive opened one of them, and when I went back to that page it was gone!

Things have changed in the last 2 weeks. Most mobile phone operators (T-mobile, O2, Orange and maybe, Vodafone) are now charging for those 'free' numbers.
That's why those pages have gone, or shall I say updated.

What about Rebtel then?? Is it really gonna be free when I have free minutes and will be calling that landline number it gives me? And BTW does the person really need to call me back and is she gonna pay any for that call?? since the number is 02... wouldnt it be for free anyway as this is landline number??
