Flag this up to ebay. Use the report seller link. Was the message where you agreed postage through the ebay messaging system, as they would have a copy of it.0

Sure was, all done through their messaging. I've just checked their stars and p+p is already down to 4.6 with less than 30 feedback. doesn't look like their business will last too long if they keep this up.2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -
If it was done via best offer - how did they add postage?
If they ammended the invoice after the sale - they have indeed broken Ebay rules.
If the original Ebay invoice stated the postage mentioned - and you were expecting them to remove it after the sale - they have broken no rules - just their verbal contract with you.
Either way - another bashing of their postage stars will bring them nearer the end of their Ebay journey.0 -
Their original item listing stated p+p at £1.99 per item(bought 20 items) so when I've used best offer they had the chance to amend it there and then down to zero. The order details even state I saved over £18 on delivery. Glad I didn't click the BIN first and then ask for a refund when postage would have been £40:eek:2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0

Sellers cannot change an offer before accepting it. If we could - we would accept them all and change the price.Their original item listing stated p+p at £1.99 per item(bought 20 items) so when I've used best offer they had the chance to amend it there and then down to zero. This is what happens when buyers make offers via message - instead of using ebays best offer service. I just ignore them.
If you had offered the right amount via best offer - it would now show in MyEbay.
The seller should still have been clear about the price though. But anyone who pays £20 more than the agree price, has to be mad. The fact you did - shows the price was still good - and maybe you misunderstood the agreed price and thought you were grabbing a bargain due to seller pricing error?0 -

I first asked the seller how much for 20 through the messaging system, told £40 free P+P then they told me to use best offer service to buy them and they would accept it. This is when they loaded the P+P up instead of keeping to their original offer through messaging.
There isn't anywhere in the best offer service that allows you to offer your postage price, that's for the seller to change.
As I've previously said, I would happily have paid £60 for the items with free P+P if necessary, I would have preferred to pay £40 with free P+P.
This is more about the seller offering free P+P, then charging £21, then it only costing £6.30 to post. Clearly a rip off!!2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -
Shame you didn't buy them all individually as that would be 20 lots of feedback!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Yes there is - you knock it off the offer.
e.g item is £10 plus £5 postage.
Seller agrees to sell at £10 with free postage - so i offer £5 via best offer, postage goes on - and voila - the agreed price.0
