I went into a Burger King at Glasgow central train station. I only ordered one diet coke, and 2 (small) cartons of five alive for the kids. It came to over £4! Granted, i did have a large coke, but even still! It must have been over £2 for my coke, and over a pound each for the small cartons
anyone else annoyed with train station/airport prices?

If you don't like it don't buy from there - I'm sure that there were newsagents within a 5min walk. Fast food places like this are notoriously overpriced for drinks anyway, let alone in trainstations/airports/motorway services.0

It seems like a lot, you could call them and check you were correctly charged (0141 2263015). Last time I was in Glasgow Central I got food and drink from the M&S Simply Food and the WHSmiths on the station, they seemed to be reasonably priced.0

Seems a lot to me too- did they give you a receipt?0

Unless they charged you incorrectly the rents for those locations are much higher. The cost for trading at a station is around 3 times that of a high street location and at an airport 5 times higher.0 -
There's a price menu in the place so you can check prices, tohugh I must admit it does sound high.
I'm sure Motorway ones charge about £5-£6 for medium meal-deals!0 -
And do they not make 3 times and 5 times the profits then?0

I'm not sure if you still can get a 'Bite' card which is good for 20% off at station retailers including Upper Crust, Burger King, Ixxy's etc. Won't help with todays purchases, but might be a money-saver in the long run. Pretty sure I found out about it through this site!

I agree that it is a lot for some drinks but I dont think that youve been charged the wrong price.
As everyone says, theses places do charge a lot. For example I was at a motorway service station on Saturday and they were charging £9.00 yes nine pounds for english breakfast.
Needless to say I didnt have one! . . .0 -
I was heading for a train, on my own with 2 small kids. stupid i know, for not taking our own drinks. i thought id grab some from Burger King as it was easier to get in with our bags & had no queue
LOL learnt my lesson though!0
