No Win - No Fee Firms

I am seriously considering using one of these firms to progress my claim after reaching a dead end with Thomas Cook.

I see Bott & Co mentioned in this forum but not any of the other firms. Does anyone have any experience of any other firm so I can try and decide which one is best to use.

I would prefer to do it all myself but fear I don't have the time or experience to be successful.

Seriously don't understand why anyone would.

I had no time nor experience either but managed to research it here and write a LBA. And I realised from my basic reading that because we had two flights cancelled whilst stranded, we were in the unusual position of being able to claim compensation even though our initial delay was ash-cloud related (extraordinary circs).

Would have done the court case myself and was fired up for it when Monarch tried to knock my claim back!

But then spotted that our house insurance had 'free legal cover'. Used that to get a second LBA sent by the Solicitor and the headed notepaper did the trick - we got the full amount of hotel bill etc., and compensation as well.

But I wouldn't have handed a quarter of my payout to a solicitor, why?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Because airlines refuse claims and many people would not have the time, knowledge or confidence to take an airline to court, plus they may worry about paying the airline's court costs. Most people would be happy for 3/4rds of their entitlement rather than nothing if they could get it in a hassle-free way.
