reading the descriptions on all the retailers listed it does seem to be a heavy mouse for being compact.
Weight isn't what I want, size is.

    I'll order a new one :)

For reference, I just researched the dimensions:
    M305 W57mm L95mm H39mm
    M525 W60mm L102mm H38mm
    MX518 W70mm L130mm H36mm
    G5 W67mm L130mm H45mm

So yeh, the M525 is definitely a small mouse and not "Full-size" like Logitech's page title says (which is also what Google uses for its search results - that's why I didn't expect it to be small)

I still need a new mouse, so dimensions will now factor in to that decision :)

    You misunderstand.

    I currently have an MX518 and it's a full-size mouse.

My partner has a M305, which is a laptop mouse.

This new "Full-size mouse" M525 is only very slightly longer than the M305.

The M525 is nowhere near the size of my MX518, which is what it was due to replace.

i think u misunderstand what i was saying. You're classing the MX518 as a full sized mouse, and anything smaller than it as something else.

the MX518 would be more of an Oversized mouse

But when they say full sized, they simply mean, not a smaller laptop version. There isn't actually much difference in size between a laptop mouse and a standard mouse.

Full-Sized doesn't mean Largest possible mouse

I completely disagree that the MX518 is an oversized mouse. It's the same size as the boring Dell mice we have at work, and at every place I've worked. The MX518 is definitely a normal/full-sized mouse. I expect full-size to be a "normal" mouse size.

The M525 is a lot smaller. In fact, it's practically the same size as the M305, which is marketed as a portable laptop mouse.

Mice like the Logitech G9x are what I'd call oversized.

I'm not sure any particular mouse can be deemed a "normal size" as it will depend on a few things such as grip style (palm/claw).

AS has already been stated, DSR will allow you to return, after all, this is the sort of situation that DSR was made for.. to allow you to inspect the goods.
