I bought a plasma tv from John Lewis in-store and on of the questions I asked them was if it came with wi-fi, and they told me it. I checked the specs online and it says it's wifi ready.
what are my rights?
Can i ask for a plasma tv with wifi?

LG 50PH660V Plasma Full HD 1080p 3D Smart TV, 50" with Freeview HD

p.s. I was also sold the wrong glasses for the tv from the salesman instore and will get a refund after 4 phone calls.

I dont think I can prove it, but could you tell what would be considered proof?

The store told him it came with wifi, not that it was wifi ready ;)

Something in writing, as unless the advisor admits to his mistake it will be your word against his.

How much is the equivalent with wifi?

I was with someone else, but for the cost of equivalent with wifi could be questionable as the tv i got doesnt come with 3d glasses. The one with wifi is a different brand, and comes with 2 pairs of 3d glasses and is about £310 more.
and the one i got was only £589.95

The official LG dongle can be had from Amazon for £21.30:

Maybe you can convince JL to give you one for free. ;)

The LG wifi model is the 670V, which is only £10 more but not sold by John Lewis.

JL might make a contribution towards a dongle, they are not going to give you a tv worth £300 more.

They could also just take the TV back and give you a refund..
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
    Now 20% cooler
