Do you have to give written notice to cancel your contract or will verbally do

I cancelled mine over the phone.

How far into the contract are you?

As i was charged £200 odd pound to cancel (although that was about 4 years ago so may not be as much now and i was only 3 months into my contract)

Vodafone require notice in writing. Give them a bell to get the address to write to (can't remember it off the top of my head) and make sure its sent by recorded delivery.

You can also fax your cancellation to 087 0161 6500. I did this yesterday as they would'nt give me a decent deal. Hey presto they have phoned today claiming to offer me a better deal, I was out and the wife took the call. She told them to phone back at 6pm to speak to me. Will leave you know how I got on. Quick update, I was previously paying just shy of £30 mth inc vat for 200 xnet mins and 250 texts on an 18mth contract. Just had the phone call back at 6pm on the button from retentions and was offered my 200 xnet mins, 250 txts, stop the clock and new samsung Z720(apparently the one that replaces the D900) free itemised billing on a 12mth contract for £12.50 mth inclusive.
I know there could be better deals on cashback from places like e2save etc, but I find them hassle and don't trust myself to make the claims on time, so I am very happy with the deal I got. Hope this helps

Not sure about the z720 replacing The D900 My DS went for that but sent it back as he thought the D900 had more on it?
