Which browser are you using? Have you tried other web sites?

If you're using Windows, the simplest solution is probably to use System Restore and revert back to a date/time before your system crashed.

In my experience System Restore doesn't always work (Vista) but using an earlier restore point can often put things back together. You may need to keep going back [to earlier restore points] until it works.

Could you try a different browser, such as Firefox?
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?
  • Trying a different browser first seems like the best idea here
