Offered vouchers as compensation?

We were offered a voucher as compensation from Thomas Cook after a 7 hour flight delay from Ibiza. We responded with this:

Thank you of your offer of a voucher which I am declining. Thelack of customer care Thomas Cook have shown in relation to this issue is quiteastounding. In a previous communication I made it clear how we were offered anairport voucher for a derisory sum of €10 for food and drink during the 7 hourdelay which you have failed to address. I do not believe €10 for meals andrefreshments is in proportion to the waiting time. In relation toregulation 261/2004 article 7 section 3 I am entitled to compensation in theform of cash, bank transfer or cheque unless I have agreed otherwise. I did notagree to receive a voucher so please review this case in its entirety andprovide the relevant amount of compensation in the form of cash, bank transferor cash. I look forward to your swift response.

They replied within minutes saying the money would hit our account tomorrow :j

Congratulations! I thought this post would be a question based on your title though? Never accept vouchers, regulation says it must be money. Might want to mention which flight and date to help other passengers.
