Claim for missed flight due to train

On 18th August I was stuck on a broken down First Capital Connect train from London Bridge to Gatwick for 4 hours which resulted in me missing my flight and having to buy a new ticket for £152 for the following day. I'm not comfortable with the OP and their claim of not being able to afford travel insurance. Generally if you can afford a passport or a flight you can afford £20-30 for an annual policy if you fly a couple of times a year.

What happens if there is a medical emergency overseas?
