Can I ask Sky to defer shipment of hardware to a later date?

Is it possible to place the order for Sky subscription but tell them to ship the hardware after a specific date?
I will be moving in to a new build in the 1st week of October but would like to order everything today - just saw a half-price deal that ends today, so very keen to take advantage of it. But if they ship the hardware (boxes, router etc.) before I move in ....

I think you'll find that arranging an installation can take a few weeks anyhow. I doubt you'll have problems arranging a date for after you move in.0 -
I called Sky and enquired.
Was told that the the Sky TV contract, viewing card and the broadband router will be shipped by courier. On asking if the shipping date can be deferred, was told not possible but these packs are usually shipped close to the date of installation(s) selected at the time of order (I hope this is true).
Anyways, have taken the risk and placed the order with TV setup scheduled for 22-Sep (system did not show any dates beyond that) and telephone + broadband installation scheduled for 03-Oct. Plan to reschedule the TV setup appointment first thing tomorrow from 22-Sep to 03-Oct or about.
Hopefully then the packs will be shipped closer to the date of appointment (as indicated by Sky call center) or at least after we move in on 19-Sep.
It's a new build and we complete on 19-Sep. Yes, I know I should have waited to order on/after that date but the 50% off for a year on both TV and Broadband (offer was to end midnight today) was too big a temptation to resist!!
