Unable to install drivers on my Inspiron 1300 Laptop

Thank you all the forum members who helped me to re-install windowsXP on my dying laptop Dell Inspiron 1300 (Celeron processor). Service Tag: 668L52J

Now when am trying to re-install the drivers required as per the delll website, I am not able to install all of them
I am trying to follow the correct order which I found on dell website

I am unable to install
1. the audio and video drivers,
2. Wireless network drivers

I was able to install the service utilities, the chipset and the broadcom 440x

The problem is I cannot start the internet as when I put in the o2 CD it says that the Netword Adaptor is missing.

I cannot find the network adaptor seperately. I thought that it might be in the chipset.

Any help please.

Yes I have a O2 broadband connection. I trying to conect to the router using wireless but unable to start the CD as it says No Network Adaptor in the pre-check stage

Ignore the o2 disc , it's not needed the problem you have to deal with the driver for the network card. IF you can attach the PC with an ethernet to your router it may find the Wireless Driver. However I will have a look now and ND may turn up with it first.

There is only one Driver for the Network Adaptor, so hard to go wrong.

You certainly don't need to install the contents of the O2 CD, that is ridiculous. Just more junk to slow down your laptop.

Though I wouldn't worry about those two, as Windows Updates will probably offer updated versions as optional updates once you connect to the Internet and start updating.
