Any sim-card can be protected with a PIN.
    Nokia C2-01 User Guide
To set how your device uses the access codes and security settings, select
    Menu>Settings>Security
    User Guide - Nokia
    Change your PIN code
If your SIM card came with a default PIN code, you can change it to something more secure.
1.On the start screen, swipe left, and tap Settings
    2. Swipe to applications, and tap phone
    3. Tap change SIM PIN
    .
The PIN code can be 4-8 digits.
  • Yes ive read that and it says the default code is 12345 and last year I tried either 0000 or 1234 or 12345 but cannot remember and ive only got 1 attempt left on the nokia C2 . I wonder If I do back to factorys settings it will go back to 3 attempts. Tomorrow lunchtime I will try everything. thankyou for replys

No, 12345 is the default PHONE security code, not the SIM PIN. You will need to contact your service provider to find out the default PIN. And also get your PUK in case you enter the SIM PIN wrong too many times.
