Porting a number - advice please anyone?
My wife currently has a contract with Vodafone and wants to take out a cashback deal with Buy Mobile Phones. She wants to stay with Vodafone and also retain her existing number. Is there a way to port the number to say a Virgin pay-as-you-go SIM and then port it to the new contract? Would there be any implication to the terms and conditions of the cashback deal if this is possible?

It is possible I've done it a few times, I know some one who asked for a PAC from Virgin on the day the number transfered over! as mentioned above it will take at about two weeks, one week from Voda to Virgin then when you get a PAC from Virgin you can get the cashback deal and give them your PAC and start the process at the purchase stage. Is there a way to port the number to say a Virgin pay-as-you-go SIM and then port it to the new contract?Nearly debt free
