Air France Flight Delay Compensation Delayed!!

Hi there
Just a word of note to anyone claiming compensation.
I have recently had the misfortune of having a flight to Johannesburg cancelled in Paris (Flight from Manchester to Paris then to JHB) on the 2nd August. They rebooked a flight for us on the 3rd August so a delay of over 12 hours. We successfully applied for the 600Euro compensation per person and this was authorised on the 21st August. We had to supply our IBAN number to Air France for them to credit our bank account.
We are however still awaiting for the payment to be made. I have subsequently contacted them and they have advised that the process takes up to four weeks.
Can I ask if anyone else has had similar issues and what an acceptable time frame would be - also what steps to take next if the money isn't received within four weeks. Would adding interest be an option? :-)
Lastly, I do love the fact that their compensation for Flight Delays. Is delayed!
