in the past lloyds have paid me within 24 hours and they had already told me cheque was sent

As others have already advised, anything from 30 to 90 days is the norm....

They will try to pay you within 28 days.

14 days later nothing they told me it would go into bank but are now stating they cant because its a joint account apparently a cheue was sent friday yet ive not recieved it grrr

I can see where you are coming from, you want the money and a lot of people in your position would be the same; even my self. You just need to wait though. They have told you it is going to come so just keep waiting. No point ringing all the time. It will come when it comes. Just be patient and wait, that is all you can do. You will not be able to hurry this up.

It will have been sent second class so will take a few more days yet.
