HI! Welcome Miss Behaving - not too late at all! :)

    Z - can't believe I missed a photo - grrr.

Snaggles - sorry, but labour, birth and the world falling out of your wazoo (love Bunny for that word!) is much much worse than a year of periods! :D My mum keeps harping on about the mooncup - but it makes me feel a little funny. And she's never even used one having gone through the menopause years ago!

Anyhoo, on the diet front - been good again yesterday and so far so good - the water is REALLY helping me so aim to drink as much as possible today - any one joining me?

Yep, I'm still trying to drink loads of water, I'm managing to drink 1.5 litres of plain water plus a couple of other drinks now.

Lol, I know what you mean about labour being worse than periods, but periods go on for days and labour only lasts an hour and a half! :p

Welcome Miss Behaving, the more the merrier!

Yes, but the locia(sp?) goes on for up to 6 weeks :)

If it makes you feel any better - mine are lighter now than they were before my 2nd :) 1st on after bfing was still a killer!

That water drinking sounds great - I'm going to really try hard today.

Back to the original aim (apart from beating Lenny!) - has anyone found they have saved money following this thread rather than just following a diet without the support on here? I have, and it gives me even more encouragement to meal plan and follow it! Also drinking more (free) water, means I drink fewer other drinks that I have to pay for so the squash is lasting a lot longer!

Well after about 40 minutes just staring at the keyboard, I'm gutted to say I didn't lose any weight this week.

    So, total stays at 8.

Not really sure what else I can do as I'm doing everything right - food, water, walking every day. I have a huge amount to lose and to quote my OH's 'caring' remarks last time I tried to lose weight (haven't told him this time) -

Should be falling off you so you're obviously lying about what you're eating.

    hey ho........

I hadn't thought of that, but all the water drinking must be saving me a fortune in cordial/fizzy drinks. And I'm hardly drinking any alcohol so that must be saving quite a bit too.

I'm fairly sure as well that we're not spending as much on food as I normally would when I diet. Before I've always lived off WW ready meals and stuff, but now we're eating proper home cooked food.

Ughhh, lochia.....the books tell you it can go on for up to 6 weeks, and I thought there's no way it will last that long (about 4 weeks with ds), but this time it was the full 6 weeks, to the day! How annoying!! Ah well, it was worth it.. :D

i have to admit i havnt but i think that is because i have always refused to pay the money to go to a class and stand on a set of scales knowing i will never stick to a diet plan anyway and i have always drank loads of water but i do think if you went to a class and bought plenty drinks and mcdonalds etc then you should be saving a good £15 a week at least even bottled water is expensive ...today i am having

porridge with soya flaxseed and seed mix follwed by lunch with fruit and dinner massamam lamb curry with boiled rice fro snacks today i am having rice cakes with tomatoes and cheese...

i'm going to the climbing centre for my part two today as well so that shoudl help make up for the lack of excercies i've done in the last wee while

Hugs Keren - I bet you'll lose more next week as sometimes it can take a while to catch up. Don't get disheartened though - you've lost a lot and perhaps your body is just having a breather (I always lose a lot, then nothing then a lot again when I start on a diet properly).

Sorry to hear you didn't lose anything this week Keren. You are doing so well though, I think everyone has weeks when they don't lose anything - you sort of get stuck at a certain weight, and you keep plugging away and nothing happens. It does seem to pass though if you persevere, and the weight starts coming off again. Try and look at the bigger picture - you've lost 8lbs in 3 weeks, that's pretty fantastic!!

El, is the climbing good fun? I quite fancy doing something like that (we have the Leeds Wall near us), but I've got no upper body strength at all, so I'm not sure I could do it.

i'm loving the climbing snaggles totally crap at it but loving it ...since the car accident i have no upper body strenght either infact that is why i decided to try the climbing to try and improve my upper body strength ...you dont need it for climbing it's mainly your legs you use for that but for bouldering (like climbing but without the harness, ropes etc) you need upper body strength i cant even get past the first foothold so that is goona take me a long time to do it...i would say though it is not a cheap hobby ...thankfully son has all his stuff (except the harness as of yet) that fits me so i've saved easily £100 ...
