Happy Birthday Victory, I hope you've had a lovely day.

My daughter is a sweetie and does homemade. Son nips up to The Works at 5pm the day before and presents me with a cook book, still in the carrier bag - it's usually a slow cooker one. I've never owned a slow cooker in my life in my life.
  • Happy Birthday, hope you have had or are having a fantastic day!!!!! Best homemade present I've ever had was the cake that DD1 who is 13 made for my birthday this year. It perhaps wasn't the most fantastic tasting cake I've ever eaten although it was perfectly edible but I know how much time, effort and thought went into the making of it and that is what really counts.xx

Happy Birthday Victory, sounds like you had a really great day.

My best homemade gifts were a cake from my 12yr old son (now 25) he shut himself in the kitchen and made a lovely cake all by himself. Then a couple of years ago my DIL filled a canvas with hand/footprints of my grandchildren with space for new arrivals!!

    Happy birthday!

In recent years, my brother has made very practical things for me like a wooden box that fits perfectly in my porch to throw all the wellies in and sweet pea tipis.

When I was little, my granddad made me a fantastic dolls house with three storeys. When I got a bit older, he fitted lights in it that worked off a battery! (He also made my sister a doll's house and my brother a garage that had a "flat" above it so it didn't look too much like a dolls house). And he made me a wooden farmyard with pens. :-)
