Hi all, had a busy day yesterday at work. It was 6pm and home time before I knew it! Usual Tuesday late shift today. I'm duty manager tonight so will be even later leaving work!
Need to be careful with money this week - all the managers are going out for tea after work on Thursday. It won't be expensive, but I still need to be careful.
BF has said he is going to do some rearranging in our tiny kitchen and I can have a whole cupboard to myself to use as a sort of 'store cupboard'!! Wish we had a proper pantry, but this will do for now! If we owned the house we'd extend out and make a bigger kitchen, but I don't see our landlord wanting to do that!
Hope everyone has a good day!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0 -
Mornng all,
Looks like another beautiful day here, yesterday was so hot, brilliant for this time of the year.
Julie well done on finishing your room :j you are well ahead of us, although we did have to go back to bare plaster, sockets off etc, I shall be doing more later, lucky you being able to hang your curtains, I want to hang mine ! stamps foot !
Molly speedy recovery for you xx
So today I need to drop dd at work, (she came back from the IOM she had a lovely time and said its beautiful, I want to go now) then I need to do some office work and after that back to the bedroom of doom !
Not sure about dinner, think it may be lamb chops.
Have good days all xx0 -
Woohoo - just been outside to check on our plants and the half price, almost dead raspberry plant I bought from Aldi 3 weeks ago has suddenly sprung into life and is looking very green and healthy!
It's only tiny, but I put it in a big pot, so I'm hoping I may get some raspberries next year!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0 -

Chilly but bright here this morning, fish fed & hubby's off to work soon, I'm collecting him later as long as the car starts, it's not been used for 6 weeks. DD has passed me fit to drive, lol, she seems to feel I have sufficient brain power, I'm still weak, but I drive an auto so it's easy.
Today I shall iron 2 polo shirts, make a batch of chicken & rice for hubby's lunches and strip the bed as I didn't do it yesterday and I'll try the duvet under the bottom sheet to see if that is more comfortable, I'm not as sore today, but that's because I'm back to sleeping 5 hours instead of 8, so less time to stiffen up.
Molly, lovely to hear from you, sorry you aren't having a restful time of it, hopefully you will be home soon. It reminds me of when my Mum was in hospital, a mixed ward, the gentleman in the bed opposite tried to strangle her repeatedly as she wasn't covering her hair and face the way he felt she should be. I complained a couple of times but got nowhere, it was passed off as 'cultural differences' he also had dementia. What did finally work was me punching him 4 times in the head the next time he attacked Mum. Well I don't think it stopped him, but his family got him moved to somewhere safe. I'm not really a violent person, but sometimes need must.
Have a good day everyone
Hugs Hester
Lovely to read your news too x
I have to admit that the first night I wanted to launch my fellow patient into outer space as she kept me awake all night talking on her mobile. She obviously has connections! No one tackled her but last night she had her op so was spaced out on drugs but still able to go down three levels with her drain and drip for a fag!!!
No Im thankful as there is always someone else worse off xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all,
obligatory lie in completed as today is the first 'proper' school day and I promised friends I would be lying in bed while they were wrangling in the staff room. I wonder how long it will be before I stop responding to the now imaginary bell that has dominated my working day?
Grey and cool here so I'll take a quick trip into town with DH - I've not been into the town centre for several weeks.
Walked lots yesterday, partly alone which has been scary and now isn't. This morning I could actually get a ring comfortably onto my finger - I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for most of this year, even though we bought a new giant one. Three cheers for this medication.
Dinner tonight is day 3 of my rubber beef: shredded with noodles, soy sauce, sweetcorn, peas and a few chick peas.
Positive thoughts to all and hugs all round xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Just popping out of lurkdom o wish Molly well, and hope you're out soon.0

lol Hester! Molly you should follow Hester's example, have you got the strength for that?
Master tru isn't used to being paid with cash, he's spent the last seven years having wages paid into his account weekly. He keeps giving me cash, asking if I'll transfer money into his accountSuits me, saves me having to go to the cashpoint

We were wondering why we were only getting 2-3 eggs per day from 11 chickens for the past few days. Mr tru raked out their shelter under the tree, there were loads of eggs in the corner at the back, lol.
Not much to do today, I'll just be pottering about. I'm going to try my hand at siliconing round the bath. I've used the gun with caulk and made a good job of it, but I have a feeling the silicone is going to go horribly wrong

Morning all!
Camelot that lad's details are all over FB, and a young girl from Ayr, hope they are found soon, and fingers crossed for an offer!
A bit grey here, was going to pop into town but not sure I can be bothered.
Had a chat with DD last night on FB, she's loving Orlando, spent yesterday shopping, blah blah.....then casually dropped into the conversation they got stuck on a rollercoaster at universal the day before:eek:........."Oh it was fine, the ride was at the end, its not like we were hanging upside down". She obviously then felt a bit daft for giving me a fright, so posted a picture of a slice of cake just for me!
Molly, hopefully you get home soon, whenever I have been in hospital Ive ended up with a charming neighbour too!
Right, time to shift myself, if I'm not going out the ironing is calling.
Have a good day allRIP Iain
