Cd Wow rant

I recently pre ordered a cd from cdwow that was due to be released on the 28th of May. It is now the 11th (12th if you want) of June and i have still not recieved my item. I have just opened an email from them saying they have dispatched the cd and it should be with me in 7 days.

Now the cd wasnt much cheaper than at Amazon or play (£1 at the most) and if i had ordered from them the item would have been dispatched within a few days of the release and i would have had it within a week. I just wanted to gain some Piggypoints & so if cdwow was any good.

I thought that if you pre ordered that meant that it would be dispatched pretty quickly and i would recieve it quickly but this doesnt seem to be the case. I dont understand why it has taken them 2 weeks to dispatch an item? its just been released and is on a major lable so it wont be in short supply. If i had've know it would have taken this long i would have ordered from elsewhere or gone to the shops to buy it myself.

I have sent the customer services an email asking why it has taken so long for the item to be dispatched and that when i pre order an item i do so expecting the item to be dispatched within a couple of days not weeks.

Just thinking i may have done something on the spur of the moment and wondering if i am wrong to be angry about the long dispatch time?

Ive only had good experiences with them I have to say, in fact one DVD I ordered actually arrived 2 days before its release date which was a bit of a surprise!

Was it a CD thats a little obscure?

I've never had any problems with CD-Wow myself.

This only about the 4th thing i have brought from them and i know they are usually good i was just abit angry and wanted to know if i was right to email. They have given me a £2 voucher to say sorry so its sorted now.

usually if you email they sort it out for you.

i had damaged items before and they sent replacements before i even had chance to return the originals!

I also recently ordered a CD due to be released on 28th May but instead of pre-ordering it I placed an order with CD Wow on 5 June. It wasn’t until yesterday that I realised the CD should have been with me by now so I sent an email to their Customer Service asking what was happening with my order. I got a reply today stating they had not received the CD from their supplier and therefore they could not send it out to me. They also mentioned the CD should be with them on 15 June.

Like you, I’m angry. CD Wow have already taken money from my account. I would have been better off buying the CD from a high street store, as I would have got the CD straight away!

I also had problems with them over the Christmas period and should have learnt my lesson then. They used to be really good, but I probably wont use them again now.

By the way, you were right to email them.

I used to use CD-Wow a lot but lately they haven't been so good. I've ordered two games from them which weren't in stock and never seemed to come into stock. In the end I cancelled both and ordered form elsewhere. They weren't obscure things either.

Maybe the £41 million they've just been fined is causing some problems for them?

CD Wow are awful with preorders. Other places like Amazon will dispatch so that the cd is with you on the day of release or a few days later, but CD Wow don't dispatch until a few weeks later.

I'm currently very annoyed at having to wait for my new Bon Jovi album, which I only ordered from them coz I had a voucher.

That exactly what happened to me. I had a voucher for i think £2 off and i wanted the piggy points. I brought a few other things from there using other vouchers aswell. It will take 3 weeks for the cd to come and i dont understand why it was only dispatched yesterday. If you email and complain they will give you a £2 off voucher. This was my first pre order with cdwow and it is also going to be my last:rotfl:

I've ordered loads from them and not had any problems until now. I ordered the Dr Who DVD on 28th May and I'm still waiting for it. It hasn't been dispatched yet and it has been out for a few weeks so I emailed them today. I was wondering if the £41 million fine has caused problems?

Did anyone else get the email late last week about them having a fire in their warehouse? I think i got a £1 voucher aswell for supporting them but its not really that big a deal since you can find the £1 vouchers everwhere. Perhaps this fire has caused major problems. If so they should have told people this and given the option of cancelling (sp) their orders and ordering somewhere else.
