How much for a Cat bed ?

Just interested as the youngest lad of mine found a " perfect cat bed " ( he is 13 btw ) When I asked why it was perfect he said .... it is £2200 so it must be good ! It looks like a bookcase with cushions lol ! Just wondering if folk would pay out massive amounts for designer Kitty stuff or if I'm just a cheapskate !

nope, cats (& people hopefully too!) don't know things are "good" just because of the price tag !

Our three have all the plastic tat from PAH/zooplus/amazon they could ever want, but will seemingly prefer to sit in an empty cardboard box or play "fetch" with a rolled up sock.......

Our old cat had a bed in the kitchen which was made up of the same material as the units had been made from, essentially a posh box in which we put an old pillow and a blanket for him. He also had a couple of those igloo shaped cat beds, one cost about £30 and another a fiver in Tesco. He slept in all of them at different times.

My cat doesnt have a bed, because she wouldn't use it, she has an old pillow with a blanket on it, most of the time she would still just sleep on the shelves.

Our bed is their bed, except for the one cat who sleeps on top of any cupboard, along the top of doors, in the washingmachine, under the sofa etc etc. She's currently asleep in my rather small handbag with her nose up her bum.

I found my one asleep in the washing machine once. He also took to sleeping on top of the peg bag on top of the chest freezer, which seemed an uncomfortable place to pick.

Another favourite in our other house was on top of the top kitchen units as they didn't go all the way to the ceiling.

I wouldn't spend that much on a bed for myself, far less my cat. My cat sleeps in a wide variety of places from her cat-bed to our bed and everyting in between!

One of our cats 'beds' has a retail price of 8k! it is our bed tho!
and we paid no where near that figure thanks to a family member working at the human bed factory.

But they also have 4 other cat beds scattered around the house, which were no more than £25 each. The best buy being the double radiator bed.

No doubt the cat will love it or ignore it completely. Black laminate? Covered in cat hair constantly... not my cup of tea.

Misty has 2 pouff!s in the livingroom (£7.99 Ikea), 1 in the bedroom (£7 homebargains) and a large dog basket with a duvet in the bedroom (about a fiver from ikea, can't remember exactly.) She does have a matching duvet cover to us though :D
