Hi
I'm currently claiming contribution based jobseekers (nothing else) and would like to set up a smalll business selling toys (party plan, selling at schools, playgroups, stalls at xmas fayres etc. If I start this and putting everything back into building stock for the first few months and am still actively jobhunting cos this will be worked around a job if I can get one will they stop my benefits.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

You would have to declare the income to JSA, as well as letting them know you are technically self employed which might mean you no longer get JSA.0

You would not longer be entitled to JSA as you would be self employed and have to pay your own NI stamp.
you could however claim Working Tax Credit0
