Not sure. Am wondering if it is something in the field? I moved both of them to the field that is really their winter field and I'm not sure if he is eating something in the field - or - if it is because of the new grass that is coming through.
So today I've used electric fencing to half the field so he can't get at the hedges and he has spent a lot of the day in a stable today to give it a chance to clear completely.
Fingers crossed he is well tonight. So worrying when they can't speak.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Another night where poor chap had colic. Going into vets today for investigations. Worried sick about him. And so tired. He was on 2 hourly checks last night. Vets going to monitor tonight.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I hope you find the cause. Is pony stressed?0

He's a very stoical (?sp)chap so its always hard to tell if he is stressed. But, after changing vet at practice to one I really like, we had a chat and he didn't go into vet hospital as the colic had stopped (Touch wood). We've run blood tests and all so far negative. And poor chap is *off grass* so has to be kept away from all grass until Monday to see if it is something in the field or the grass that is causing it. A long shot but possible the vet thinks.
Today he has pulled round and it is such a relief!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Phew what a 4 days. FoggyFell Pony still off all grass. Various tests run by vet all show normal. No idea what is wrong with the little chap. He's not eating hay either. But more than willing to eat Fibre based hay substitutes. And very restless in stable. So lots of time being spent on yard.
What with that and work no time for much else.
Waiting for vet to call back today.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
