Not heard of Knightrider. Shall look that one up.
£30 spent on a night out. Shall never again underestimate the power of a large glass of rijoca, tapas, decaff and a good gossip with a friend. Very good night out and home in time for a reasonable nights sleep. Shall catch up with diaries shortly. Feeling cheerful, largely due to the medicinal influence of the rijoca I thinkMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

OMG, though Watty - you're too young for Knightrider, I was too old :eek::eek: Where I was living, it was for little boys, not general SF fans ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
A good night out with a friend is often very therapeutic.
Glad you had a good one!

Well things may just be looking up. Firstly, by now I was expecting a fine for the "whoopsie" and an invoice has just arrived minus the fine. I am cautiously optomistic ....
And then Most Handsome refused to load to go to the vet. Now this is not a good start to any morning but vet came out and Most Handsome almost sound. So will start working him again.
And then Mr Watty .... well not so good there but after me repeatedly calling I seem to have got someone to listen that all is not well, and, I've no idea what he has been telling his doc but clearly not the truth. Seems he is suffering from some mild psychosis. Appointment sorted for next week. Had to pay £30 to get a letter out of doc as his work has refused any further time off for medical stuff. Part of me is appalled but part of me accepts Mr Watty is not really with it just now and I will just have to keep pushing this one forwards if I can.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Good grief, Watty, it just keeps on happening, doesn't it - the lack of a fine so far sounds good, and so does the vet popping out to see you when you couldn't get to him/her.
Mild psychosis *sounds* terrible, I know - it basically means being out of touch with reality, and that's a pretty accurate description of how he's been, isn't it ... he may have been telling the doc the truth, you know, but because he's out of touch with reality, his truth isn't real, if you see what I mean. Awful, I know. Sounds like the NHS services aren't quite with him yet - he's very, very lucky to have you.

At least with a diagnosis of sorts the doc can start keeping a closer eye on him and he is on their radar.
Great news about MH! (That being Most Handsome, not mental health!)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

KC this is just brilliant. I had not grasped that point, that his truth isn’t real because he is out of touch. Honestly when I read that it was a jaw dropping moment. And it makes a lot of sense. I no longer feel so frustrated about the doctor thing now. Thank you.

I do. I’ve not been updating the amount but I am transferring cash in when I can and I have a spreadsheet to keep tally. Mr Watty was telling me we had no money today and so I did tell him we had savings and roughly how much and kind of where it was in a vague sort of way as in the money is in xx bank. Only about £300 is in a joint account. And I intend to remain vague as to where, and to keep adding to it.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I just re-read my reply to KC. I'm stashing the cash as a self protection mechanism as I've no idea where this could end up. In the long run I'd love a happy ending but I am all too aware those are more common in fairy tales than in life, and, I've seen the havoc that can be caused in finances by both mental health issues and relationship bitterness.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Sounds good, Watty. Have a think about the hanky fund - the vague communication is a good idea, and I'm glad Mr Watty realised about saving for saving's sake - but you don't know how things are going to develop, that he might say "okay, we have £4k, we can spend half of that/ use that as a deposit for Something Big" and then you might have another big struggle on your hands. I'd honestly downplay from now on, while he's so ill
sorry.
