WOW LEJC you are SO inventive and resourceful! Thanks! I remember years ago realising that one could use the kettle to make Cup-a-Soups, thus saving the cost of lunch and dinner. Can't do that now, as I no longer eat any processed foods. But I never thought of boiling eggs! Genius! And the barbecue idea -- wow, so off the wall. I'd be like Bear Ghrylls
Only in the concept of staying in a 4 star hotel. Without at TV crew not sure bear could light a BBQ.The futures bright the future is Ginger0 -
At bording school we used to cook loads in the kettle. Put the tin in and boil it a few times, did break a fair few kettles. Curried beans and those nasty hot dog sasasuge where favourite. Never tried an egg though should work. The futures bright the future is Ginger0

As a manager of a hotel.. (although not 4*) I agree with the above about the fridge with its motion detectors, although if a guest asked me or any of my staff to refrigerate something (especially for something like medicine or a particular diet) we wouldn't have any issues with it.
As a side note... pleaaaase do not boil anything in the kettle. A kettle doesn't cost a lot but it does when you times it by 100, four or more times a year!0
