I was talking about switches before 16 Sep.

Well I have filled in the form online and I will let them close the old account anyway. I will open a new account with the old bank later on.

Part of the process is to close the balance off when the account transfer is complete.

Hi, 4 weeks we requested to transfer my Coventry account and my wifes Barclays account to Halifax. £100 incentive paid both of us.

All Direct debits has been transferred over. In the terms and conditions it stated old account needs to be closed. Who will close it - Halifax will write to them asking to close it or I will have to do it manually?

If it's up to me todo it then will Halifax requests proof that the old account has been closed?

How long after it is safe to say £100 is mine to keep?

If Halifax are doing the switch for you then you decide between you when the old accounts are to close.
Have you had any correspondence from the switching team?
