Morning all, not been on daily for a while, so hello again! :hello:
Very windy up north today, got loads of bedding and coats to do before autumn really sets in, so WM will be on overtime today. Good luck to those starting school or new jobs today - ours are back tomorrow, but still got them up early as a practice for that!
Got all uniforms, etc., just a bit more naming to do this afternoon, and pack up stuff to sort, then a quiet afternoon/evening with baths all round - love this time of year, seems more like a new start than January does!
I'm on FB, too, have fuddle and mardatha on, if anyone cares to pm me for details?
Have a good day everyone, will try and catch up on previous days' news.

Morning everyone,
Molly, LW, HH Hugs.
HelenJelly Positive vibes for you and your OH.
Last day of the summer holidays for me today, I have to pop into work briefly to sort out a couple of things to make tomorrow easier but I only intend to be there for half an hour then I am off to the supermarket to refill the fridge and cupboards.
DS has his driving test this afternoon so I will be nervous for him all day. I will keep busy to take my mind off it.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -

Morning :hello:
I had the news on yesterday, the weatherman was saying it's autumn. Bit puzzled – autumn doesn't start until 21st - 23rd of september, does it? I thought the seasons changed according to solstice/equinox, so around the 21st of dec/mar/june/sept?
Because I'd given myself permission to do nothing yesterday afternoon, I was bored and wanted to sort thingsI've made a space for Christmas present storage, updated spreadsheets and tidied up my crafty things. The last one was a waste of time because I'll be getting it all out again later

I love the start of a new week, specially when I have no appointments and can do things in my own time.
Mr tru went off to work with a slight hangover and loads of bruises from paintballing
I've collected lots of wrapping paper, gift bags and ribbons over the last few years and need somewhere to store them tidily. I found THIS blog, I'm going to mix and match some of the ideas and hopefully create something that will fit in the space I've got.
I found two small old towel rails in the shed, one is really rusty but I'm hoping it'll clean up. I'm going to hang them somewhere (not sure where yet!) and hang things on them (not sure what yet!) with S hooks. I bought far too many in Ikea when we bought rails for the kitchen, they've been rattling around in a drawer for months.
First things first, tidy and water the garden.

Well I haven't stripped the spare bed yet, but I have put the WM on twice, 2 half loads, one dark, one light, the first load is on the line.
I've also cleaned out the microwave, hubby obviously thinks the interior is supposed to have a red pebbledashed finish! I did it the lazy way, put a large bowl of water in it, put it on for 3 mins and then it all wiped clean with no effort.
Oh and I've unloaded the dishwasher, I'm now relaxing for a while, I've had beans on toast for lunch & will have an apple in an hour or so.
Molly, I hope you are ok.

Hi all
OMG I'm out of practise at dog-walking at sparrowfart; but Lizzie won't “go” in the garden.:o She really needed her walk, too - I wouldn't have believed one relatively small Spaniel could produce that much poo!:D (Sorry if tmi):D
Molly hope you're ok, mate; Lizzie sends a Spanielly (((HUG))).:o
Helen hope DH is in a bit less pain – sounds like he's on the same regimen as me with Morphine; though I don't have Tramadol (it doesn't play nicely with Moclobemide so I can't have it). Hope you're getting a bit of quality sleep yourself, too.:o
Hester at least the staff member concerned had the grace to apologise!
Moorhen wishing DS best of luck this afternoon.:o
Tru the seasons always used to officially change at Solstice/Equinox, but it was changed (presumably by the Met Office) some time back to 1st of the month. Poor dears probably couldn't cope with the fact that Solstices and Equinoxes are not the exact same date each year.:D I still use the old method – but then, I still use inches for knitting patterns and pounds and ounces for cooking.:whistle:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all - I don't usually post in here but I have 2 weeks off work, and a project to deepclean the house before winter (despite DH just having had 6 weeks off), so hopefully this will keep me on track. Today is general tidying/washing-up, tomorrow is weeding the garden, and Wednesday I'll start steamcleaning the carpets room by room. Other chores will involve taking hundreds of books to the charity shop, cleaning the downstairs windows, doing some bulk-cooking, cannabilising an old computer to get the hard drive out, and trying to bleed the rads."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I'll be sticking to the proper dates, like you. Yards, feet, inches, pounds and ounces. Metres, kg and euros can go do one
