careful, if it's a draw no-one wins and you lose your money a both sides. Betfair is kinda like this. Laying actually means betting on a team not doing something (winning, drawing etc). So you back Man U to win on one site, lay them (in other words back them not to win) on Betfair. So either way you win. Man U either win or they don't (losing or drawing).
I've probably confused you more now...
edit:
ok - in football there are 3 outcomes. For example, Man U v Arsenal.
Man U win
Aresenal win
Draw
as you can see if you'd backed at 2 bookies and it was a draw then both your bets would have lost. Laying Man U to win would cover the draw and them losing basically they just don't win.Debts - [STRIKE]£9925.64[/STRIKE] £8841.88 :T Aiming to get below £9k by the end of Oct.:D:D November aim - sub £7.5k!

i just realised that if you have man u vs arsenal then you bet with one bookie on arsenal to win, one with manu to win then you get the cash back regardless of the outcome and you make no loss. I do hope thats right
I dunno tho.
The way I make it out is this...
You make a normal bet through the bookmakers (like Corel for example) for Arsenal to win. You then make the same bet through a betting exchange (Betfair for example) still for Arsenal to win, but in effect through the betting exchange you are the bookmaker.
I think what happens normally is if you go to a betting shop and place a bet the bookie will give you odds and he will place the same bet through an exchange to minimise his loss should you win your bet, the bookie is laying a bet which is the opposite to placing a bet, kind of a reversal of what the punter is doing.
So by placing a bet through the bookies, you are the punter and by laying a bet through the exchange you are the bookie.
Does that make sense?? If not let me know and I'll try and explain it a bit better!!! :rotfl:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

dez,
Id suggest that there MUST be some sort of accredited tattoo parlour. In scotland I THINK altohugh not sure that tatoo parlours are regualted by thge NHS?
cant help with the plants thing i afriad, although theres a forum on the Kew gardens I think or river cottage.net which is handy but not fast moving like here
Id suggest the nutritional value of irnbru should be on their website then Id compare off with something liike how much protein body needs per day. Its not the calories that thge problem, it owuld be lack of iron I expect that would lead the little scot to kark it with multiple organ failiure.
I dont want to work! i wanna chat! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

GREAT IDEA. .... I think i need to join.
I think bronze would be hard for me to achieve - i dont sell on ebay (not very technical) i won't gamble (on line or elsewhere).... but am going to look try and save in these areas (plus spend time another day going through the posts on this thread and looking for ideas!). The only survey thing i do is pincone.
1. Don't get sucked into paying for things for PTA those £2 mount up
2. Park at work and walk into town (easy walk) will buy less (due to carrying back to car) and wont pay car park charge (again 50ps add up!)
3. Do all my journeys in one - instead of doing lots of small journeys
4. I will claim my petrol back from work (have NEVER done this although i know that my collegues do - due to the fact that i never drove when i took the job and i dont do may work miles but I DO do work miles so i should claim for them).
5. I will claim all my work expenses rather than being embarassed claiming for ex 70p back - if i have only bought it and use it for work they can pay for it.
6. FOOD SHOPPING - my biggest expense i will cut this down!!
O.K Challenge Started!!! can i back date it to this afternoon -
Today - Amount saved £1.25p by using my works discount (normally dont bother as feel embarrassed cant afford that anymore!)Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0
