Bear in mind that the Toyota "fixed price servicing" is actually the *maximum* price and dealers can actually offer lower prices on services if they so wish (so worth ringing a few round and see what difference, if any, there is ;) )

The service plans can be tailored I believe, so you really need to check exactly what the plan they offer you includes and then you can work out if it's worth it or not for you.
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail
  • I took out the RRG service plan because it includes aircon recharge- reccommended after 3 years, and free MOTs. All in all with the guarantee of no price increases I calculate you make a worthwhile saving. However, if the above don't interest you them may not be a good deal

We looked at this carefully and were going for it, 2007 Auris, but didn't have the money so didn't.
Interestingly we have gone back to a Toyota garage for servicing after two local indies didn't do all they were meant to and we realised things at Toyota aren't expensive, after buying wiper blades at Halfords we realised the dealers were cheaper.

Toyota dealers can be sensibly priced. My Toyota dealer charges less for my huge Landcruiser than my wife pays the honda dealer for her little Jazz. She now goes to an independent, I still go to the main dealer.

If I work on the same basis - 1 x intermediate and 2 fulls. The total cost individually is £477.00

So am I to assume the extra £243 is for oil, fluids etc?

If so, it seems rather hefty.
No, oil, filter and routine fluids are included. Their only chargeable extra are brake fluid and pollen filter. I'm not sure about engine air filter, fuel filter etc. changes when they are due.
If you go to Toyota UK's website it should list everything that's included with their fixed price servicing.
Edit to add - it's under 'owners' and then servicing.

Sounds well expensive for a Toyota!!

Our Jaguar service plan with our local main dealer is only £536 for the next 3 services, 2 x minor and 1 x major.
  • Dearer than Kia's,my Picanto has 5 services for £499. Peace of mind and no extra charges.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
