TRying to understand our water consumption

    Another tip to save water is that taps are controllable rather than just off or full on. My wife seems unable to understand this concept, she's digital - on or off with nothing in between

    So only turn it on as much as you need - I can rinse a cup with just a cup full, she uses at least half a gallon, most of which goes straight down the plug hole without even touching the cup:(

    £360 per year(4 in house) with Northumbria water baths every day/flush loo when we want and Europe's biggest reservoir full to overflowing ;)
