  • £1.49 spent from this budget.

But feeling pretty pleased with myself. Withdrew £50 petrol money and £50 grocery money. Went to supermarket and spent £46.40 on petrol (had voucher) and then £53.14 on groceries. So was able to use the little change from petrol on my food shop, meaning I spent pennies under the £100 I withdrew. Normally I would spend a lot more than that on groceries. And then have to use my debit card. And then spend the month trying to play catch up. :D

  • So far so good this week - 3 NSD's in a row!! Yay!! :j

Also had a rebate of £240 paid into my account from a student property from 2007 that I had completely forgotten about!! Double-Yay!! :j :j

I've put £100 of that straight into the ISA and the rest split between my emergency fund and holiday fund - so still going to stick with my £10 budget!

On nights tonight and tomorrow so will be taking some healthy snacks and drinks to avoid the 4am munchie-binge at the service station (!) in the hope of another two NSD's!

Might just hang in there for another zero spend as Dad has promised me a tank of fuel and bridge money if I cook him dinner while Mam is on her girly weekend! :rotfl: This also means OH and I have a free weekend surfing, walking and beaching it in the beautiful Gower - so a win-win for us!! :D

Luck seems to be very much on our side at the moment, so I'm stashing those pennies in the emergency fund as I'm sure it won't last forever!!

  • Thanks for the new thread.

Sunday: £24.72 on some books, leggings and nail varnish
    Monday: NSD
Tuesday: NSD. It would seem that when it takes an hour to travel 3 miles I don't get tempted to nip to the shops on my way home!
  • NSD today so still only £1.49 from this budget.

Going to see a friend tomorrow so will be going on a toll road. so that will cost, then need to pay for lunch. She says she's arranged a walk for us to go on, so hopefully a cheap ish day.

  • Everyone seems to be doing really well this week! Half way through so fingers crossed we can all keep it up :)

Today I've spent £6.95 on fat club and some choccie bars.

Add that to my £25.72=£32.67 so far
  • So, OH got home from work and proudly announced "I've had two NSD's so far"... Awesome!! Caught the bug!
Still haven't spent anything other than the usual groceries etc.
night shift again tonight so will take some snacks and lots of squash with me again - worked a treat last night & felt better for no fizzy/energy drinks too!

Well done gang! Keep it up!!

Sorry flyinggiraffe I'm going to spoil it now. Had quite a spendy day yesterday.

£5.50 toll road  although that part of the journey was lovely. :D
£19.95 lunch and tip. Went for 2 courses as I'm starving all the time (I blame feeding little one)

Now i only budgeted £20 for the day so I'm over that but hopefully can have a cheap ish lunch today to counteract it. Although actually it's not as bad as i thought. I did think about using the toll road to come back too. But couldn't justify spending £11 extra.

    Spends so far

    Sun - NSD
    Mon - £1.49
    Tues - NSD
    Weds - £25.45

    Total £26.94 / £40

ETA - £2 coin into baby ETO's savings.

    Total £28.94 / £40 (it's going to be a tight week.)

  • Well I am red....

Spent £13.55 on lunch today, just couldn't resist a nice lunch. We went to Nandos and I could have chosen something within my remaining budget. But no...

    So total so far £42.49 / £40
£2 of that went into little mans savings so in theory I am only 0.49 over. But still have two days to go.
