I use malwarebytes professional and it shows a lot of false positives, which
i would rather happen than let them through.
The conduit search and other toolbars like delta are nasty in that they hijack your browsers, but that doesn't mean they are a virus.
I won't have toolbars no matter what bux they pay for the reason above, if you are in doubt about anything run adwarecleaner.
People can panic when they think they have a virus, understandable when new computers are the best part of 400 quid for medium specs.
But trust me if you had real malware or virus's you wouldn't be posting on here right now.0 -
I have just got 2x55sb for email surveys I did :j:D
I didnt think I would get them after the terse email I received

Ive just had 3 email surveys credit at once and they've shown up against my daily goal. I glanced at my home page and nearly cheered. I now have 745/90! what a great end to the month. :T
Just 2 DS outstanding now. Who knows when they'll turn up.
Need 1077 for my next £25 Amazon voucher which is not bad as I cashed my first one on 19th September.0 -

Finished a very long DS on Disneyland Paris about an hour ago which redirected to a blank page and didn't credit although it said I'd completed it.
Tried for another survey and got a very bizarre one initially asking my opinions of several brands and then going on to to ask in which areas I think the French were good or bad! How odd, surely no-one can generalise like that?!0 -
Full month done here also
And didn't once have to resort to SBTV! Won't have access to Swagbucks for half of October which is definitely a good thing, don't fancy the daily trips to the site to try and get target every day. The first few weeks weren't bad this month but the last two were torturous at times with the lack of surveys and the ones that I did do not creditting.

Cath- this is exactly what I was talking about. and to everyone who is accusing me of scare mongering and not knowing what I'm talking about- rubbish! I know exactly what I download- it's in my downloads file for a start. I never click on dody website, links or anything like it. I'm very careful. The only things I download are uni docs and mystery shopping briefs and certainly NONE of those are at fault. It is the PUP files and the search conduit files that contain hidden viruses. If you choose to stay ignorant about this, that's your problem. But don't accuse me of making false accusations and no knowing what I'm talking about. If I'd known you wanted 'proof' I'd have photographed my screen so you could see the files names I'm talking about. It has affected another machine in our house, so maybe I'll just do that. Then you can eat your words. I'm only trying to save you all a lot of hassle and money!
You are using the internet, therefor you are downloading the contents of every page you view, and encoded scripts. Have you looked at your temporary internet files and cache files? They are files that you downloaded without clicking on a download link. You clicked the submit reply button on this forum or others like it? That initiates a script, the coding of which you do not see.
I'm not denying you have encountered malware, but I have seen it on machines that have only ever accessed whitelisted sites. Having cleaned and configured thousands of machines, and reverse engineered dozens of viruses in my time, I can assure you that it is very easy not only to encode malware and viruses, but also to masquerade their real source. If you want to avoid them completely, then unplug your router. Informed advise regarding protection is beneficial; scaremongering is not.0
