Morning everyone,
Julie Hope that you get that tooth sorted out.

Judi How are things?
Hello from under the huge pile of washing, at least it is a sunny day so I can get it all dry.
I need to mow the lawn as well today it looks like a jungle out there.
Also I have a crop of potatoes to dig up, I always find that really exciting as you never know how many you are going to get.
DD1 and I went blackberry picking yesterday and we picked about 4lbs of them in less than an hour, they were all big, fat and juicy as well.
We saw one other person picking blackberries yesterday on the whole huge site where they grow, I can never understand why people are happy to pay loads for a small punnet in the shops but won't go out and pick the wild ones for free!
Pork chops for tea tonight and blackberry crumble.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -

Aaah Julie67 I know how you feel. Get one tooth sorted and another starts niggling. I actually asked my dentist if I could have all my teeth out and have dentures but he said no. I hope your toothache gets sorted tomorrow.

Master tru locked his keys in his van the other day. He'd left his phone in the van, as he knelt on the passenger seat to reach over, he knelt on a bottle of lemonade. The top shot off and sprayed everywhere. The door was leaning against him, he jumped back, the door slammed shut then he realised the key was on the seat...... :rotfl: He had his phone in his hand but it was useless because the charger was still in the van :rotfl: He now has to clean all the sticky off his tools. I was laughing, he was not.
I've almost finished the bathroom. I'm not happy with my very wonky line along the top of the wallsso I'll tidy that up today. The door frame needs one more coat of paint but that can wait - I need hinges and haven't found what I'm looking for yet. Not that I'm fussy or anything
I spent a few weeks in a state of panic about having my teeth out, then a week of slight haziness from the painkillers (only brufen, but any tablets make me a bit spacey), then a week of doing the bathroom. Tomorrow I'll be back to normal service and a relaxed brain. I don't actually know what to do with myself so I'm going to jot down a few things in my diary to keep me busy

Morning all,
Bright beautiful day here, got some washing in the wm which will get hung out after.
Julie and Tru I feel your pain, yesterday we managed to fill the holes etc round the walls, OH was just scraping out a crack on the ceilling when a strip of paint came away in his hand, same old story it had not been mis-coated so we spent most of the day stripping the ceilling, which has put us a day behind  so today we need to wash the ceiling back (whick takes ages to get it all clean) and then plaster the chimney breast which should get us back to track !!!
Tru my OH got some beautiful hinges for our lounge door (god that sounds sad) I will ask him where he got them.
Chilli for dinner today and I need to make up dd's bed for coming home tomorrow.
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning everyone
I've not been on for a while - DH has been told he has a tumour [between Kidney and Bladder] we are waiting for a date for a procedure to tell us if its cancerous or not, he is in extreme amounts of pain and taking alot of Morphine which is either knocking him out or making hi stay up all night, either way its not good, add on the school hols and its been quite a rough time here :[
Anyhoo ....... its time to et back into some kind of routine now, our home is definitely gross and we [kids and myself] need to stop staying up late and getting up late! So its housework time, the hoover will have a fit at having to start up lol
Hope everyone is well, hugs for those that aren't
Helen :]Projects made for craft fair - 40
1st fair on 13/4/14 :j0 -
Morning all,
I put washing on the line and stripped the bed to start another load before 8.30 this morning - this new medication is giving me my movement back so fast :T
Beef today, even though it is warm here : it was sitting in the freezer and DH fancied it. We'll eat it tonight I think as he wants Yorkshires and potatoes as well as the veg.
Tidying the garage yesterday unearthed the solar lights I bought in Mr T's sale two years ago, they work well and the garden looked good last night, just a bit empty of plants.
Tomorrow will be interesting - I have absolutely no 'back to school' stress :rotfl:
Have the best day you can every one x
edit to add: Fingers crossed for your OH Helenjelly, we've walked a similar path.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning all
Another bright day no washing to do though so we are just going to have a family rest day doing whatever we want. DH and DD have gone carbooting and DS is painting his warhammer models, I want to do some more crafting (hands willing) and it is just a simple dinner today of lemon and herb chicken with salad, hm coleslaw and new potatoes from the garden.
We have friends coming round tonight so I am quite looking forward to that.
helenjelly sorry to hear the news about your DH, I hope that things are sorted quickly and it is not malignant x.
Right onwards and upwards
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Afternoon All
Helenjelly - Hugs to you, hope everything goes well.
Jools - Enjoy being spoiled.
HH - Take it easy!
Julie & tru - Another one with tooth problems, well not exactly teeth related, I was at the dentist nearly 2 weeks ago and had an injection in the jaw area. It seemed to be ok but now I can't open my mouth (much to DDs delight!!). I will phone tomorrow.
Work last night was grim - it was very busy and I have a cold so I sweated my way round! Had a decent night's sleep though.
DS2 is here and has sorted and re-packed all his belongings. He is going travelling for at least 6 months so if I do every sell and move at least his things will be done.
Going to take DS2 back to Edinburgh later so DD and I will get something to eat there with him. Apart from that the house is a tip where DS2 has left piles of stuff for the charity shop, bin, etc! Washing done but on the airers.
Enjoy Sunday. Take care. XX0 -
Hi all
Sunshine today; but I'm caught up on the washing just now, so nothing to put out to dry in it!
Laura the good thing about talking to your spinach is that it won't give you a load of backchat.:D
Julie ouchy; hope the fang farrier can get you sorted out.
Tru I did have all my teeth out and have dentures fitted! In fairness though, I hadn't visited a dentist in years, and only went when the pain was so bad that even whisky wouldn't numb it.
Helen (((HUGS))) Oh dear, your poor DH; it must be awful for him, and such a worry for you too. All my hopes that it turns out to be non-cancerous.
Let's see, what've I managed so far? Taken Lizzie for a walk, sent Mr LW off to the farmers market, brushed Lizzie, done a trip to @sda when he got back from the farmers market, and made a quiche. And I'm cream crackered!:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
